Upon
graduating from the University of Texas, Austin in 1983 with
a degree in Finance and Real Estate, David went straight
into the insurance and financial planning industry.
In 1994,
after 11 years of developing his knowledge and skills in
insurance, David founded Healthcare Consultants. Since
then, the firm had grown successfully, largely due to David’s
emphasis on customer service and fair prices. Currently,
over 270 groups in the Houston area rely on David and Healthcare
Consultants to administer and maintain their group healthcare
plans.
Over
the years, David has developed a sound reputation among
the major carriers for group health, life, long-term care,
supplemental, dental, and disability insurance. Now a highly
respected specialist in group and individual insurance
plans, David’s
reputation has earned him high standing with many top-rated
providers.
In 2006,
David and Healthcare Consultants, Inc. joined Benefit Concepts
as a way to further improve the service level for his small
group clients. Benefit Concepts is the largest provider
of groups 2-100 in Texas and has access to carriers that
only a select few in the country enjoy which translates
into preferred care for his customers.
As a
member of the Houston Association of Healthcare Underwriters
(HAHU) and the National Association of Healthcare Underwriters
(NAHU), David stays informed of the issues affecting his
clients and provides them insight to market trends and direction. Often
referred to as an educator rather than a salesman, David
is passionate about assuring that his clients fully understand
their plans. David will also work with you to develop
an on-going communication system with your employees regarding
their group plan.

Levi
graduated from the University of Arizona in 2003 with a degree
in Marketing and Consumer Behavior and immediately entered the insurance
industry. Joining
Healthcare Consultants in 2003, Levi developed his passion
for educating consumers in the ever changing world of insurance.
A year later, Levi
found that his calling was helping employers provide great benefits to
their employees and redirected his attention to group benefits. “The
highlight of my day is showing an employer an innovative
strategy to reduce cost while improving benefits,” says Levi.
In an industry that
is constantly changing, Levi is the first to hear about
new products, analyze them, and illustrate to Healthcare

I
wanted to start of by telling you how great it has been working
with you and your agency. The account
managers at your office are always there to help and get
problems fixed. A few months ago, one of our employees had a
stroke. She has been with our company for years and it was so
difficult to come to the realization that she would not be
coming back to work. The one thing that made me feel better was
the knowledge, that as a business owner, I did all I could do to
help by purchasing a Long Term Disability plan. At least now,
even though she can’t work, she will still be able to have an
income, until the age of 65, to help support her and her two
kids. I don’t know what she would have done to help with her
expenses if it wasn’t for the policy. I can’t thank you enough

I
know how difficult it was to convince me to purchase our
group short term disability. Just the thought of spending more than what we were
already spending on the group medical seemed insane. Well, a
few months ago, one of our employees took his family down to
Austin to see the capital. They ended up going water skiing on
Lake Travis. Somehow, the employee lost control on his skis and
fell off breaking both legs. His weekend vacation turned into a
two months recovery at home. Thank goodness we had a short term
disability policy in force. On the 1st day of his
accident he was able to begin receiving 60% of his pay for the
entire time he was out. Had it not been for that policy, he
would have been in more than just physical pain. The decision
to purchase a short term disability policy really paid off.
